Small Joys was the theme of one of the art installations at the Asian Paints Colour Next 2012 exhibition in which we were involved as industrial design consultants. The translation of the theme was done by Trapeze design and Moonraft was on board and the technology providers. Our scope was to work out all the details of the concept and take it through till the actual installation of the art installation. The video above is a walk-through of the exhibit.
Write up on Small Joys at the Colour next exhibition :
Sometimes all you need to do is stop and feel the moment. Small joys finds you everyday wrapped in the folds of your patchwork quilt, hiding in the comfort of your suede shoes pressed between the pages of a book. As we check off our to-do lists and negotiate deadlines, pure moments of joy catch us unaware.
This theme seeks to encompass the simple, spontaneous experiences that reassure us of the unending trickle of happiness that we can easily cup in our hands. Kites soaring in the sky paper boats gliding by.
It isn’t a moment that you seek. It is a moment that finds you, becomes you.
