Pitch Invasion was started by two sports loving, marketing professionals who wanted to position the company as one that understood the pulse of sports fans better than anyone else. Through the creation of customized products and campaigns for their audience (sports organisations, sports teams and consumer brands), Pitch Invasion was able to target a specific fan base for key impact and business success.
Pitch Invasion reached out to Twist Open UX to define their audience as well as design and develop their corporate website.
Through our discovery sessions we understood how Pitch Invasion wanted to promote their expertise and knowledge of sports fans through their website. We used the ubiquitous sports fan as a metaphor. Pitch Invasion chose a dramatic visual route for their website to capture the raw emotions of a sports fan. In the imagery we focused on one fan’s sports fervour and juxtaposed it with an image of the star player they were rooting for.
While the website spoke a distinct visual language, we choose to pay close attention to the call to action sections as well. To make the website easy to navigate we focused on the three main offerings: digital solutions, fan engagement and increased monetization. The customized sports themed call to action buttons expanded to reveal similar work for other brands, case studies, blogs and testimonials related to these offerings.
